Does Brazilian waxing hurt? Do you use hard wax or soft wax?
We use professional hard wax for Brazilians, which is significantly gentler than the strip wax used at most chain studios. Hard wax adheres only to the hair (not the skin), so removal is smoother and less painful. Most clients report that after their first Brazilian, subsequent visits are noticeably easier because the hair grows back finer.
How long does a Brazilian wax last?
Most clients re-book every 4-5 weeks for a Brazilian. The first few waxes you may notice some areas regrow faster than others, but after 3-4 consistent waxes the regrowth becomes much slower and finer. Many long-term clients stretch to 5-6 weeks between visits once their hair growth has adjusted.
Can I get waxed while I'm on my period?
Yes. We can perform Brazilian and bikini waxes during your period as long as you’re wearing a fresh tampon or menstrual cup. Just mention it when you book or check in. Your skin may be slightly more sensitive during this time, but most clients are perfectly comfortable.
Do you offer men's waxing services?
Absolutely. About 10-15% of our clients are men. We offer men’s Brazilians, full back waxing, chest, shoulders, eyebrows, and everything in between. All male services happen in the same private rooms as our women’s services, with the same professionalism. Every esthetician on our team is licensed by the State of New Hampshire and Board-Certified. We’re a State of NH Certified studio and BBB Accredited. Owner Sylvie McMartin has been in the industry since 1978 and personally trains our team in advanced waxing techniques.
